Popeyes Arrival in Kansas City with New Location

Popeyes, a well-known New Orleans-style fried chicken chain, is expanding its presence in Kansas City, MO. As confirmed by the company, the new restaurant will be located at 10930 Parallel Parkway, the site of a former Arby’s directly across from the Legend Shopping Center. The exact opening date for the new Kansas City is not confirmed yet.

Established in 1972, the chain has grown to over 2700 restaurants across the United States, with 16 existing locations in Kansas City. Popeyes gained national attention in 2019 with the debut of its original fried chicken sandwich, which led to an increase in sales due to unprecedented demand.

The new location in KCK of Popeyes will join the other recent developments in the area, including a Buc-ee’s travel center that is slated to open near Kansas Speedway in 2027.
